BIIANCO
ABOUT
Hot pink shoulder pads, cherry patent leather, and emerald velvet under vivid orange light. BIIANCO is the Duke and Duchess of a new generation of queer-femme chill-wave dream-pop, and reigning over the cis-male dominated LA music scene with the savage style mastery of a 90’s Italian Queens of Queens. Gabby Bianco, multi-instrumentalist and producer, takes production and performance into her own claws— sharp as her tongue— to transform heartbreaks to heavy beats and triumph to vocoder choirs. It’s music to dance through trauma to. It’s the soundtrack of a dying ego. It’s raw and riddled with cleverness, familiar and relatable, begging to live on repeat.
And she does it all herself.
Formerly of pop-duo Smoke Season, Gabby Bianco began her solo journey into producing after a life altering rebirth at an all-womxn Ableton retreat in Joshua Tree. Alongside LA greats including Kimi Recor, Madame Gandhi, drum & lace, Tuff ghosts, and vōx, BIIANCO emerged inspired, possessed, and erupting in new material begging to be shared. She became both artist and muse, each piece produced, directed, performed, curated photographed, and eccentrically styled entirely of her own imagination with her own hands.
Since her debut in 2019, BIIANCO has enthralled sold-out crowds from London to LA with self-produced visualizations and neon lights, fully choreographed lyrical dance, and raw emotional performance in a style uniquely her own. Touting radio support from KEXP in Seattle and KCRW in LA; over 1 million Spotify Streams; garnering praise from Billboard Magazine, Hunger Mag, Refinery29, Ones To Watch, Flaunt Mag and more; production and collaboration with Este Haim of Grammy Nominated Band HAIM; and her song “13 Dead End Drive” recently synced to hit Netflix series “Tiny Pretty Things”; it’s clear the world is ready for BIIANCO. They won’t have to wait long, with the release of new original single “Teeth Bared” early 2021 and an upcoming full-length album release underway.
A rising force in self-taught contemporary production, BIIANCO has collaborated with artists including TRACE, Jax Anderson, Chong the Nomad, Cassie Marin, tiLLie, Ella Vos—and the list keeps growing. In 2020, BIIANCO released 5 new original singles with accompanying music videos, 7 covers, and launched a series on TikTok educating fledgeling bedroom producers, proving that even the throes of Armageddon couldn’t hold BIIANCO from her purpose. No, she added fake blood and honey and turned it into a full-length mixtape, a book of poetry, and a video game (slated for release in 2021).
BIIANCO is a one-woman explosion of light and passion—thundering and raucous as a technicolor lightning storm. A roaring heartbeat of the digital generation and a burgeoning queer-femme pop icon, BIIANCO channels vulnerability into a dreamlike language understood by any who have walked through a world in transition. Ugly. Unbelievable. Beautiful.
